Hikaru Funnell Photography Intro Hikaru Funnell is a London food photographer who specialises in studio-based, on-location and product-led commercial food photography.

I'm a North London based food photographer, shooting on-location and from my still-life studio in Finsbury Park. I'm endlessly passionate about amazing food - the provenance of ingredients, seasonality, scene creation, food photography, and creative lighting within a studio or on-set at a restaurant.

I've been shooting for seven years, with three of them in London - being fortunate enough to have worked with a great pool of clients across multiple industries. I have taken on their trust to assist them in refining their visual identity through bright, colourful content that is impactful, and on-brand.

My working style comes from a creative art direction approach, either as part of a heavily developed studio shoot with a fully treated brief, or as part of an on-location shoot for restaurants and bars. Specialising in contextual food heroes, ingredients as part of a series exploring flavour or for editorial usage. My work also covers product-led food content showcasing products in use.
